Welcome to the funding opportunities area of our website. This page contains information about central funding opportunities for staff. There are now 2 options for applying for funding;
Professional services and administrative staff are eligible to apply for funding to study for a professional qualification or accredited course identified through the PDR process. This is to help you progress in your role and your career overall by enhancing and accrediting professional and personal skills, ensuring that the University is funding development activities which not only support your career, but also the strategic needs of the business. Apprenticeship Funding for Employees
Following the launch of a new national fund, we are pleased to provide the option to fully fund employees to undertake an apprenticeship to achieve either:

IMPORTANT: An apprenticeship has specific criteria which must be met to qualify for funding; the most significant of which is a minimum of 20% of working time spent in training or learning activity. These qualifications will be delivered internally through Salford Business School and will be fully funded. Applicants can opt to start in either January or June.
If you are interested in undertaking an apprenticeship, in the first instance, you will need to complete the Expression of Interest and Approval Form. Before doing so, please read the guidance document very carefully to ensure that you meet all relevant eligibility criteria and are fully aware of what an apprenticeship is.
