For students

Kick start your career with a Degree Apprenticeship
at the University of Salford

A degree apprenticeship allows students to study at degree level whilst earning a salary and gaining practical, on the job skills.

Degree apprenticeships combine work with study and may include a work-based, academic or combined qualification or a professional qualification relevant to the industry. Apprentices will study part-time at University and will spend the rest of their time in the workplace.

If you’re looking for an alternative to traditional University study then a Degree Apprenticeship could be the perfect route for you. You will have the opportunity to earn a salary whilst working towards a bachelor's degree at the University of Salford.

These apprenticeships are funded by the government and your employer so there are no tuition fees to worry about.

  • Earn a salary
  • Receive on-the-job training
  • Study towards a full bachelor’s degree
  • Learn from experts in the field and develop the skills and theory required by industry
  • Funded by the government and your employer so no student debt to worry about*

*Due to the nature of apprenticeships and how they are funded (by the government and the employer), apprentices will not be eligible for student finance - this includes tuition fee loans and maintenance loans.
