Lecturer, Clinical Gait Analyst
I graduated as a Physiotherapist from the University of Liverpool in 1999. Following junior rotations I specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy for several years, later specialising in Paediatrics.
As a Paediatric Physiotherapist my key interests are the Orthopaedic management of children with ongoing health needs and in particular using the assessment of gait to inform decisions making around physiotherapy management and orthoses. I continue to work weekly for the NHS as a Paediatric Physiotherapist.
At the University I work in the Clinical Gait Analysis department which involves a combination of teaching, managing the service and research activities.
I am involved in postgraduate teaching on clinical gait analysis.
Current research interests are across the field of clinical gait analysis encompassing both healthy and pathological walking.
