Lecturer in Adult Nursing
Since qualifying as a registered nurse my clinical career has been within the Adult Intensive Care Unit. The importance of recognising and responding to acutely ill patients, intensive care nursing and the support student nurses receive in the clinical learning environment has both informed and influenced my research interests. In 2006 I entered nurse education, I am the Acute Illness Management (AIM) Champion for the University and in 2009 I introduced, organised and continue to facilitate the Greater Manchester Critical Care Skills Institute Course for third year student nurses.
