Ruth Chadwick

Senior Lecturer & Student Facing Procedures Lead


I am passionate about professional and academic conduct and privileged to have the opportunity to work with our student community, academic and practice colleagues to stimulate their thoughts and influence their practice. My passion is complemented by an extensive competent knowledge base and significant experience as a Regulatory Body Fitness to Practise Panellist and NHS Performance Advisory Group Lay Member and NHS Performers List Decision Panel Lay Chair. I am also privileged to be the Queen's Nursing Institute Homeless Healthcare Champion for Manchester and Salford.

Research Interests

Co-researcher in a 5 Year project in relation to Participatory research to strengthen the role of patient and public involvement in general practice service improvement: The NHS is committed to finding new and better ways of working with patients and the public to improve healthcare services. Patient participation groups (PPGs) are seen as a way of improving general practice services.
