Patient Simulation Suites
We use the adult and paediatric simulation suites during to allow students to practice their skills assessing and treating acutely unwell patients prior to going on placements, and the before graduation and obtaining their first job. These simulations take part in the suites and use the SimMan and SimBaby mannequins. Also in levels 6, the student complete their mandatory cardio-pulmonary resuscitation training and manual handling training in this very realistic environment and using the adult mannequins. They have a further opportunity to take part in the interprofessional simulation days which invites students from the school of Health and Society, alongside physio, OT and radiography students to learn and take part in simulations within interprofessional groups.
