AJ Bell, one of the UK’s largest investment platforms, was founded in Manchester in 1995 and strives to create a culture which makes investing easier as their customers work to achieve their dreams.
We are extremely privileged to be a recipient of AJ Bell’s generosity which provides students from the School of Science, Engineering and Environment at the University of Salford with incredible experiences.
AJ Bell began supporting students completing an undergraduate computing degree at Salford through our annual HackCamp.
HackCamp is a module where students from across our computing department collaborate with one another to solve real-world challenges submitted by our industry partners, including AJ Bell. The module is incredibly beneficial to our students, providing them with the opportunity to work with new people, to put the skills they’ve learnt into practice, and to receive invaluable advice from leading companies.
AJ Bell Best Student Prize
In 2021, we were delighted to announce the AJ Bell Best Student Prize which will be awarded to the best performing student in each academic year across our portfolio of computing degrees.
Students completing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Science with Cyber Security and Software Engineering will be eligible to win one of the prizes; the top performing student across these courses will be determined through a combination of practical and written assessment grades. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and a way in which to recognise their academic success.
The first Level 4, Level 5, and Level 6 winners will be announced at the end of the 2020/21 academic year, with the gift also promised for the 2021/22 and 2022/23 academic years.
