Event details

The Red Brick Chamber Sessions

The Red Brick Chamber Sessions is a series of free concerts in partnership with the University of Salford. Involving top class musicians from the BBC Philharmonic, the innovative programming of The Red Brick Sessions continues to weave through this series of shorter, up-close and intimate chamber concerts. Timeless works are paired with new music, creating an exciting opportunity to observe musicians interact without a conductor to create their own personal performances.

Woodwind group, Reeding Material - led by Jennifer Galloway, Principal oboe with the BBC Philharmonic - journey through delightful repertoire for the third concert of the Red Brick Chamber Sessions. Zelenka’s music, composed around 1720 is an early work in a very different style to Poulenc’s trio of 1926.

Zelenka - Trio Sonata ZWV 181

Poulenc - Trio for oboe, bassoon and piano
