A children's musical theatre show. A retelling of the classic Red Riding Hood.
Red is camping in the woods with her girl guides, having been told off by the guide leader and made to stay back in camp. She decides to do good and deliver a gift to Mrs. Withington, who lives deep in the woods, where she comes across Mr. Barker, a hungry wolf. He tries to lure Red into his carnival so he can eat her. The girl guides have to think up a plan to find Red and save her from the evil Mr. Barker. A story of dilemma, doing the right thing and friendship.
Full of music, singing, dance and physical storytelling, this is a high energy piece of children’s theatre that will tour local schools.
Directed by David Crowley. David has been directing children’s Christmas shows for the past 7 years in and around the North West. As well as this, he was appointed Associate Director at West Yorkshire Playhouse on a U.K. Tour of ‘Beryl’ by Maxine Peake.
