A physically driven, 'strange' retelling of William Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Birnam Wood is a devised and physically driven ‘strange’ adaptation/retelling/re-searching of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. It is made by four women of the north, south, east and west, in cahoots with their initiates and novices.
When the balance of power is upset and the order reversed, what kinds of shenanigans occur in the deep dark wood, or on the blasted heath? Welcome to the meeting. When shall we meet to do it again? Shall we do it again? Shall we? Three women stir up a storm as a wind blows in from the west, breaking loose a secret society and feminine power.
Warnings to be announced.
A SECOND PEFORMANCE IS ON TUESDAY 22ND JANUARY 2019.
