Major trauma accounts for 10% of fatalities worldwide with road traffic injuries alone ranked as the second highest cause of death among 15 to 29-year-olds. The North West Trauma Symposium proposes to facilitate the networking of regional Clinical, Academic and Industrial stakeholders with a view to improving trauma care and research in the North West.
The event hosted by the University of Salford in collaboration with GM-CAT will feature a spectrum of distinguished speakers, Research Poster sessions and unique networking opportunities. The symposium will also showcase preliminary findings from the ongoing Trauma Biomarker Project (UKCRN 19377), a multi-centre NIHR-Portfolio study led by the University of Salford in collaboration with the Central Manchester and Salford Royal Foundation Trusts. CPD accreditation from the Royal College of Anaesthesiologists has been applied for.
