Meet Andrew Michael Hurley
Come and hear Andrew Michael Hurley reading from his bookThe Loney, which won the Costa First Novel Award last year, and was the British Book Awards Book of the Year 2016.
The book is set on a stretch of the bleak Lancashire coastline known as the Loney and tells the uncanny tale of two brothers. Writer Stephen King described The Loney as ‘an amazing piece of fiction’ and the Sunday Times called it ‘a masterful excursion into terror’.
The event is organised by the Library at the University of Salford as part of an ongoing initiative to encourage students, staff and the wider community to read for pleasure.
Refreshments will be provided by Salfood. Andrew will be signing copies of his book after the reading. This is a free event.
