University of Salford Brass Band conducted by Tom Davoren


This very special night is a musical celebration for Eilir Williams, a very popular personality in the world of banding and a proud member of the Salford University alumni. Eilir sadly passed away at Christmas after a long and fearless battle with Multiple Sclerosis. The evening will feature the premiere of ‘Song for Eilir’,a cornet solo written by Dr Robin Dewhurst, dedicated to Eilir and performed by Mark Wilkinson. There will be a collection with all donations going to a new musical scholarship fund, set up in memory of Eilir to support future young musicians.
