By embedding sustainability in all aspects of University life, we will enable our University community to have maximum beneficial impacts for society and environment.
Our Sustainability Strategy Map details the strategic priorities and enablers we have identified to work towards our vision. We are keen to have staff and student views on our strategy and initiatives which we facilitate through a range of staff and Student Union representation on our Sustainability Programme Board. However, if you wish to be involved as well please get in touch with Bec Bennett, Environmental Sustainability Officer, or provide any general feedback by email.
The Sustainability Strategy is directed by the Sustainability Board whose role is to champion sustainability across the institution and within business units, promoting the aims of the strategy. The Board is chaired by a member of the University Management Team (currently Margaret Rowe, Dean of School of Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work & Social Sciences). See the Sustainability Board Terms of Reference document for more information.
We have a number of staff in dedicated sustainability roles, who sit within the Facilities Team.
