Oak trees are known for their longevity and recognisable seed, the acorn. They support more life than any other native tree in the UK, including mammals, fungi and more than 250 species of insects and other invertebrates. This tree was planted in 1977 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
