A functional email address is an email address that relates to a role or group, rather than an individual named member of staff.
What should the email address look like?
A functional email address is set up as a separate account and has the following format:
<dept>-<function>@salford.ac.uk e.g. ITS-ServiceDesk@salford.ac.uk
