Age of Modernity: Renaissance Revival

Chloe Marshall

I am coming to the end of my final year on Salford's Fashion Design degree course.  During my time here I have completed a 5 month internship in London, with luxury fashion brand Temperley London, which gave me the opportunity to grow as an individual and experience the industry first hand.  My course has provided me with once in a lifetime opportunities to travel to Japan, Milan and China, where we sourced our fabric for our final collections.  Working with external fashion brands has challenged my ability and improved my time management, design skills and professional communication.  My final collection, titled 'Age of Modernity: Renaissance Revival', was inspired by the Italian Renaissance period, specifically focusing on the figures of some of the worlds most infamous pieces of art.  The religious iconography was the key inspiration for my prints, which were all hand drawn and printed in China.
