As well as an ageing workforce, there is a distinct lack of young talent choosing to enter the construction industry, resulting in a worrying skills shortage within the sector.
Building businesses back up is crucial for the recovery of the economy following the repercussions of the current pandemic, and the construction and engineering sectors are vital for the recovery of the nation. We must act now to help close the skills gap and futureproof the construction sector.

Our courses
We offer apprenticeship programmes across various construction and engineering subject areas, including quantity surveying, building surveying, property and real estate and civil engineering.
BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship)
Apprentices will advance their financial, technical and managerial construction related knowledge with our Quantity Surveying course, which is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
BSc (Hons) Building Surveying (Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship)
Apprentices will be educated to the highest industry standards on this Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited course. They will achieve professional status whilst developing professional and technical skills specific to building surveying.
BSc (Hons) Real Estate Development and Management
A gateway to professional status, our property and real estate course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and equips apprentices with the professional, technical and collaborative skills to build a lucrative and rewarding career.
BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering
Led by our IStructE award-winning civil engineering team, our civil engineering degree apprenticeship will equip students with the knowledge and skills to create the future infrastructure, buildings and facilities that improve our quality of life.
BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management
Our experienced academic team draws on strong construction industry links to ensure students have a stimulating range of external guest lecturers, industrial site visits and career networking opportunities.
HNC Construction Site Supervisor
The HNC construction is aligned to the requirements of a professional career in the built environment as a Construction Site Supervisor, and help you learn the technical and practical skills needed to satisfy industry and employer needs.
