September 2023
The Fundamentals of Mammography Practice (FMP) and Advanced Techniques in Mammography Practice (ATMP) Modules form a 60 credit Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Medical Imaging.
Over the two modules, Fundamentals of Mammography Practice and Mammography Practice, you will develop a high level of expertise in mammography technique and your personal development and standards of professional practice will be enhanced. An approach to clinical practice will be developed that is critically reflective and evidence-based and you will become autonomous and active members of your clinical multidisciplinary team.
The modules are delivered with a blended approach to learning and incorporate distance learning activities, classrooms and live interactive sessions. The excellent e-LfH resources and the National Breast Imaging Academy’s expertise will be utilised to support the overall learning package.
Please note that it may not be possible to deliver the full list of options every year as this will depend on factors such as how many students choose a particular option. Exact modules may also vary in order to keep content current. When accepting your offer of a place to study on this programme, you should be aware that not all optional modules will be running each year. Your tutor will be able to advise you as to the available options on or before the start of the programme. Whilst the University tries to ensure that you are able to undertake your preferred options, it cannot guarantee this.
