Military Veterans Conference: Transition to Civilian Life

Military Veterans Conference: Transition to Civilian Life

22 June 2017, Chapman Building, University of Salford, Greater Manchester

The transition for those leaving the British Military can represent a significant challenge. Those who served in Iraq or Afghanistan may need our help during transition and throughout their life. There are 2.8 million military veterans in the UK, with a large number of these settling in the North West.  The  Armed  Forces Covenant was enshrined in law in 2011, underlining the Government’s commitment to supporting serving and former members of the British Military.

The University of Salford is launching an on-line MSc in Military Veterans Health & Wellbeing. To coincide with Armed Forces Day 24 June 2017, we are hosting a one day conference held at the University of Salford, exploring the many challenges affecting Military Veterans and their families.
