Marketing Manchester is the agency charged with promoting Manchester on the national and international stage. Visit Manchester is the tourist board for Greater Manchester and is a division of Marketing Manchester.
As one of Marketing Manchester’s 400 plus members - who also include hotels, serviced apartments, conference venues, restaurants, bars, tourist attractions and support services - we work collaboratively to generate meetings and conference business.
We also work closely with the Academic and Industry team at Marketing Manchester to develop bids to host conferences. Our successful bids include the MH2014: Fundamentals and Applications conference, and the CIB 2010 World Congress

The MIA is one of the largest associations in the conference, meetings and events sector. This not-for-profit organisation has given the industry an accreditation scheme, industry awards, invaluable research and a voice to government.

GMCC is the largest Chamber of Commerce in the UK. As an independent, not-for-profit private company, the Chamber influences key decision-makers in local and central government. It is regularly consulted for feedback from the business community when policy is being developed, locally and nationally.

Unique Venues of Manchester (UVM) was established in 2013 and is the first group of its kind in the region. Dedicated to the promotion and celebration of unusual and unique venues in Manchester, it follows in the footsteps of established groups such as Unique Venues of London and Unique Venues of Edinburgh. Its aim is to promote high quality event spaces and facilities in some of the city’s most exceptional and inspirational settings.

Venue Masters is a membership consortium of academic venues that have facilities for hire. A not-for-profit-organisation, their main role is to generate venue enquiries for members. Membership also has the advantage of gaining access to industry research and taking part in knowledge sharing and networking opportunities.
