Saturday 17 August, 09:30-15:00

Welcome to our Clearing Visit Day! We're so excited to welcome you onto campus and give you the chance to take a look around.

There's lots to do on the day, from chatting with our course staff, to finding out more about student finance and taking a tour of our campus and accommodation sites. Make sure you use the information on this page to plan your day including how to get here, where to park and check-in on the day.

Check-in location

Time: 09:30 - 15:00

Location: SEE Building, Peel Park campus (Building number 12 on the campus map).

When you arrive, have your QR code ready (which we will email out to you the day before the event) and the team will check you in, provide you with a copy of the guide and point you in the right direction.

How to find us

If you’re joining us by car, we’ll have free parking available for you in our Lowry and Delaney car parks (M5 4NJ) which are right by our SEE Building. We also have parking at our Irwell Place car park (M5 4PE) or our Lowry car park (M5 4NJ). Both are just a short walk from where you need to check-in and you can locate these on the campus map.

There is no need to pay-and-display or pay via the app, it’s free for your visit. Please note the museum car park does not belong to the university so is not free to use.

We also have Salford Crescent train station and several bus stops on campus. For more info on how to find us, have a look at our travel page.

FAQs

What time does the event run?

The Clearing Visit Day runs from 09:30-15:00 and the course tutors are available between 10:00-12:00.

Can I bring family and friends?

Of course! Choosing a university is a big decision, so we'd absolutely encourage anyone who is supporting you to get involved and join you.

Will there be other opportunities to visit the campus?

If you are unable to join us at the Visit Day, you are welcome to book on to a campus tour so you can come and take a look around. This will be a general tour of the campus but unfortunately there will not be any course tutors available on these dates.

Head to our Clearing Offer Holder Hub to book your place and find out more information on what happens between now and when you start.

Do you have support for students with a disability?

You can let us know about your access requirements when you book onto our Visit Day. We’ll then work with you to do everything we can to support you. You will also be able to have a one-to-one appointment with our disability and wellbeing team on the day.

If you would like to check our campus for its accessibility, we have worked closely with AccessAble (the leading provider of access information for disabled people in the UK) to produce an assessment of our campus and facilities. This work has provided detailed information about our access; find out more about their assessment of our campus and facilities.

Find out more about accessibility on campus or contact us on enquiries@salford.ac.uk.

We are also hosting a separate disability transition to study event on Tuesday 27 August and Wednesday 28 August, where you can come along and chat with our disability inclusion team about your needs and the support we can offer. Book onto the event here

Do you have prayer rooms on campus?

We have prayer facilities and quiet spaces available throughout the campus, our check-in team will be able to help you find the closest available space.

The University does also have a Faith Centre, although this will not be open during the event. If you would like some further information about what our Faith Centre has to offer, check out their page
