Welcome to our Clearing Visit Day! We're so excited to welcome you onto campus and give you the chance to take a look around.
There's lots to do on the day, from chatting with our course staff, to finding out more about student finance and taking a tour of our campus and accommodation sites. Make sure you use the information on this page to plan your day including how to get here, where to park and check-in on the day.
What to expect
At the Clearing Visit Day you will have the opportunity to attend presentations and drop-in sessions to give you an idea of what studying at the University of Salford is really like. You can download a copy of the Open Day guide containing all of the sessions on offer to allow you to plan your day.

How to find us
Check-in location
When you arrive on campus, please head to our check-in point which will be set up inside a gazebo in Chapman square on our Peel Park campus. This is located near Chapman building (number 11 on the campus map). When you arrive, have your QR code ready and the team will check you in, provide you with a copy of the guide and point you in the right direction.
Please note all of the Visit Day activities will take place on our Peel Park campus, however you will have the opportunity to do a campus tour of our Frederick Road and MediaCity campuses during the day.
How to find us/Where to park
If you’re joining us by car, we’ll have free parking available for you in either our Irwell Place car park (postcode M5 4PE) or our Lowry and Delaney car parks (use postcode M5 4NJ). All are just a short walk from where you need to check-in and you can locate these on the campus map. There is no need to pay-and-display or pay via the app, it’s free for your visit. Please note the museum car park does not belong to the university so is not free to use.
We also have Salford Crescent train station and several bus stops on campus. For more info on how to find us, have a look at our travel page.

What time does the event run?
The Clearing Visit Day runs from 09:30 -15:00 and the course tutors are available between 10:00 - 12:00. Take a look at the guide above for more information on the timings of all other presentations and drop-ins.
Can I bring family and friends?
Of course! Choosing a university is a big decision, so we'd absolutely encourage anyone who is supporting you to get involved and join you.
Will there be other opportunities to visit the campus?
If you are unable to join us at the Visit Day, you are welcome to book on to a campus tour so you can come and take a look around the campus. This will be a general tour of the campus but unfortunately there will not be any course tutors available on these dates.

Do you have support for students with a disability?
You can let us know about your access requirements when you book onto our Visit Days. We’ll then work with you to do everything we can to support you. You will also be able to have a one-to-one appointment with our disability and wellbeing team on the day.

Health and safety
In line with the latest government guidelines, masks are not mandatory on campus. However, you are welcome to wear one if you feel more comfortable doing so. You will also find sanitisations points around our campuses, which you are welcome to use.
If you develop Covid-19 symptoms
If you have booked a place on our Visit Day but develop Covid-19 symptoms before you are due to visit, please stay at home and do not visit our campus. Symptoms of Covid-19 can be found on the NHS website.
