Lecture in Law

Biography

Having spent over 30 years in Industry within Credit Management, I moved into teaching, after gaining my teaching degree in 2011 within Business and Credit Management. I have a wide-range of teaching experience in both FE and HE, lecturing Law, Business, Accounting and Economics. I joined Salford University in 2017 as a Lecturer in Law for the Foundation Year Level 3 Programme.

Teaching

My teaching currently encompasses the foundation year law student, including international students. I am also the programme leader for the business school foundation year level 3.

Research Interests

My research interests are within the area on mentoring, having previously completed my masters research in assertive mentoring within secondary education. How mentoring can impact not only the mentee, but also the mentor and the wider environment.

Postgraduate research

My research focused on the effectiveness of assertive mentoring within secondary education and the impact this had on overall student attainment compared to traditional mentoring methods.
