Degree Apprenticeships

Degree apprenticeshipIn response to the announcement of the apprenticeship levy, the school has launched a Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship which will allow you to study on a day release basis for a full BSc degree, whilst at the same  time  working  for  your  employer.

Currently students can study either our BSc Quantity Surveying or BSc Building Surveying degree courses, both of which are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Apprentices will be employed full-time and study part-time at the University of Salford. Typically it will take 4 years to complete the programme on a day-release basis.

There are two distinct components to the degree apprenticeship – the academic degree programme and the work-based assessment. The university - as lead provider- is responsible for delivering the degree programme and your employer is responsible for delivering the work-based assessment components.

The university and employer work together closely to ensure that the knowledge you will gain on the degree is successfully applied in the workplace as well as ensuring that you demonstrate the standards and practices required to meet the professional competencies of the apprenticeship.
