Accelerated Degrees

The School of the Built Environment now offers a new mode of study for many of its undergraduate courses; the Accelerated Degree. Whilst covering the same content as a traditional three year undergraduate degree, the accelerated degree is taught over three trimesters rather than two semesters. This more intense mode of study means that you can complete your degree in a shorter period of time, therefore allowing you to progress more quickly into work or further study.

If you choose to study an Accelerated Degree full-time, you will complete it in two years rather than three. If you choose the day-release option*, you will complete your degree in three years rather than five. You still have the option to complete a placement with these modes of study, with the full-time accelerated degree with placement taking three years to complete, and the day-release accelerated degree taking four years to complete. The traditional three year full-time and five year part time options for these courses are still available.

*This three year programme is available as single day release subject to intake numbers.
