Petition to Parliament to Introduce Compulsory LGBT Sex Ed in Schools
"Schools have no obligation to offer sex education to individuals who do not identify as heterosexual. Despite the higher rates of HIV amongst the gay community and the increased risks associated with homosexual sex. This would also help to destigmatise the topic, likely reducing homophobic bullying."

The Peel Park Pink Picnic
The Peel Park Pink Picnic is an annual event, set to take place in (you guessed it) Peel Park, right next door to the University of Salford. It's an all day, family fun event that takes place every year, that is packed full of music, entertainment, food and drink, bouncy castles, go carts and more. The University of Salford is proud to be the main sponsor of this event that celebrates the diversity and culture of Manchester, whilst members of staff and students will also be in attendance at our very own stall, so be sure to come and say hello!
The event is free to attend and for those who are unfamiliar with the Peel Park Pink Picnic.
The 25th Manchester Pride weekend took in August, and the University of Salford will be showing their support as part of a joint partnership with Manchester City Council, Salford Royal Hospital, The Albert Kennedy Trust, amongst many more.
