Biography

I am Head of Year 2, an experienced HE Lecturer with a master’s degree and a PGCE teaching qualification. I am festival director for the Pennine Film Festival which began in 2006, I have written and directed several award-winning shorts and a feature drama. I have written 3 books including 'Keeping it Long: Why filmmakers use the long-take and its relevance to a modern cinema audience' and spent nearly eleven years as a freelance broadcast camera operator working on live OB’s for Sky, BBC and ITV.

L6 Film Marketing, Distribution and Exhibition, L5 Scriptwriting, L4 Introduction to producing and Directing.

Research Interests

Independent Film Exhibition.
