If you are only arriving for the course session in the afternoon and no morning optional sessions, we recommend you arrive on campus no later than 13:00 to ensure you have the time to check in and join the Life at Salford talk before your course session starts. If you arrive after this time, please select your course from the drop-down menu below, to confirm if your check-in point differs.
Once you've checked in upon arrival, we will take you to each of your chosen activities throughout the day. There will be refreshments available all morning and from 11:45 we will serve a complimentary lunch, including vegan and halal options. After lunch, we will take you to our Life at Salford talk, where you will hear from a current student about their experiences studying at Salford. We will then split you into groups and take you to your course session, starting at 14:00.

The Chinese sports brand, Anta, wants to make an impact on a UK audience! The brand is well known in China, and now bravely wants to place itself in the UK as a ‘sports/fashion’ option for a demographic of 18-35 year olds in the UK.
The brand will be placed alongside existing very ‘established’ brands such as Adidas and Nike, that make the crossover from function and fashion in their offerings of shoes, clothing and accessories.
Anta needs to make an impact as a brand both in an audience awareness of it being a unique offering against its competitors and also in its presence in store and online…. Think of existing retail environments and how they work...and how they could work better!
Don’t think of just posters…Audiences these days want to get involved with brands through both physical and digital contact and experience.

How to find us
To offset some of the cost of travelling, we are offering a travel bursary. If you live in Greater Manchester, we'll contribute £20 to the cost of your visit; for anyone coming from further afield, we'll contribute £50. All you need to do is join us on the day and have your QR code scanned at one of our check-in points. You will receive an email containing your QR code a few days before the Applicant Visit Day. Find out more in the FAQs section below.
By car
On the day of the event, there will be free parking spaces available in our Irwell Place car park (postcode M5 4WT) on our Peel Park campus.
Before the event, we will also provide a parking permit that will allow you to park for free at any University car park. Alternative car parks to Irwell place include Lowry and Delaney (M5 4NJ). If you park here or anywhere other than Irwell place, you must clearly display the parking permit provided. If you would prefer to park at MediaCity, you should use the Garage car park (M50 2HE) but parking is not free at this location. Please note the Salford Museum and Art Gallery is not a University car park, so parking charges will apply here.
Even though parking is free, you must still ensure you park appropriately in a designated bay and do not park in a disabled space unless you have a blue badge.
Please note because it is a regular teaching day car parks will be busy and we would recommend using public transport where possible
By public transport
We are also easily accessible by train and bus, with Salford Crescent train station located directly on our Peel Park campus.
There are also tram and bus services direct to MediaCity and services that stop walking distance from MediaCity.
For full information on how to find us, please explore our travel page. To confirm which campus your subject is taught on, please use the drop-down menu above.

How does an Applicant Visit Day differ from an Open Day?
An Applicant Visit Day will allow you to do all of the activities you would at an Open Day, including campus and accommodation tours, talks on finance, support, wellbeing and disability, as well as getting to chat to our staff and students. The key difference is at an Applicant Visit Day, you will be able to explore your course in more detail. The course sessions will offer a taster of what it's really like to study at the University of Salford and to allow you to make sure you have picked the right course and University for you. You will also get to meet potential future classmates, as everyone attending an Applicant Visit Day will be holding an offer for a their chosen course.
What do I do next?
Accept your offer on UCAS
You can accept a maximum of two choices – one firm and one insurance. You can only have an insurance choice if your firm choice is a conditional offer. If you accept an unconditional offer as your firm choice then the place is guaranteed, so you cannot have an insurance choice. Make sure you know when the deadline is to accept your offer.
Accommodation
If you are planning to move away from home, you will need to start looking for suitable accommodation. The University accommodation will open for bookings around February. We will email you in advance to let you know when it will open. If you initially indicated on your UCAS application that you wanted to live at home and have changed your mind, then this isn't a problem at all. You can find further information on our accommodation here. There will be an opportunity to book your place, with Campus Living Villages, at the event.
Student Finance
Applications for student finance for courses starting September 2023 to 2024 will open soon. You can find further information here. Make sure you submit your application in plenty of time, so your funding is in place when you start your course.
