If you are good with numbers, have strong organisational skills and good business sense, then a career in accounting, finance or economics could for you.  Labour market insight shows that Accounting, Booking-keeping and Economics are amongst the fastest growing careers.

Salford Business School offers one of the most practical University educations, preparing students for career success with real-world experience, live case studies and links to industry partners.

Undergraduate courses

Preparing students for career success is a priority at Salford Business School.   You will work on the accounting packages you’ll use when you qualify and develop a thorough understanding of accounting, finance and economics within the wider context of business and management.

Programmes are accredited by the leading industry bodies - ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW and CIMA - so you know your learning is aligned to current best practice.  Along with your academic knowledge, you will develop the softer skills that employers value such as communication, team working and digital knowledge.  We strongly encourage all our students to take a year’s paid work placement after your second year; you practise your learning so you are ready to face the world of work when you graduate.

Postgraduate courses

Our postgraduate courses are highly industry-focussed, developing your advanced level skills and the knowledge you require in the accounting, finance, and corporate financial industry sectors. Every postgraduate student has the opportunity of an internship through the Industry Collaboration Project which lets you put your learning into practice.
