Travel Info

Salford Crescent train station is located in the middle of our main campus, between our Peel Park and Frederick Road sites. Trains from both Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria run through to this station regularly. You can also reach Salford Crescent from Manchester Airport, Blackpool, Southport, Wigan, Blackburn, Preston and Huddersfield. The station is fully accessible for wheelchairs, pushchairs and bicycles.

If you’re attending one of our courses at MediaCityUK, please see the information about MediaCityUK.

The Crescent/A6 runs alongside our main campus and is a major bus route into and out of Manchester city centre. To plan your journey by bus, see Transport for Greater Manchester’s Route Explorer.

If you’re attending one of our courses at MediaCityUK, please see the information about MediaCityUK.

Because the Mini Open Day takes place on a teaching day, our campus and car parks will be busy, so we’d encourage you to take public transportation where possible.

If you do choose to drive, we have multiple pay-by-app car parks on campus, which are free to use for your visit today, but please allow extra time as we may need to redirect you to the nearest alternative with available spots.

Below is a list of our car parks and their postcodes, which you can park in for this event. If you’re attending one of our courses at MediaCityUK, please see the information about MediaCityUK.

If you feel like stretching your legs and you want to get a feel for the area, we’re a pretty easy 15-20 minute walk from Manchester city centre. From the Arndale Centre, head across the River Irwell to Chapel Street and take a left. This will bring you past Salford Central train station (on your left) and Salford Cathedral (a bit further up on your right). About half a mile later, you’ll be right on our doorstep.

If you’re attending one of our courses at MediaCityUK, please see the information about MediaCityUK.

We are based just 10 miles away from Manchester International Airport. There are regular direct train services to and from Salford Crescent station and Manchester Piccadilly from Manchester Airport. Buses also link the airport to Manchester city centre. To plan your journey, see Transport for Greater Manchester’s Route Explorer.
