BSc (Hons) Integrated Practice in Learning Disabilities Nursing & Social Work (BL75)

Thank you for your application for a place on the above course and congratulations on being selected for interview. Please read the instructions below carefully and ensure you prepare appropriately.

What will happen at the interview?

The interview will start with a maths test and lead on to a written test, a group activity, a role play, followed by a series of individual interview questions.

What do I need to bring to the interview?

Please bring the following original documents:

  • Photographic ID – e.g. passport, driving licence    
  • Original Certificates for any qualifications already achieved    

NB:  If you are still studying, you will not have all your certificates yet but you should bring along the certificates for qualifications already achieved.  You will NOT be interviewed if you do not have your photo ID.    

How to find us

On arrival please come to the ground floor reception in Allerton Building, Frederick Road M6 6PU. Please download a campus map or take a look at our travel information:  Allerton is number 17 on the map.  Please be aware that car parking charges do apply upon entry to the car park, details of the tariff can be found online: and will be displayed in the car parks.

Please ensure that you arrive promptly and allow time for travel. If you are travelling during rush hour, please be mindful of the effect this may have on your journey time and plan accordingly.

Can’t make your interview date

If you are unable to attend your interview, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss this. In some circumstances we may be able to offer an alternative date however we cannot guarantee this.  Please contact us on 0161 295 4545 and select the option for interview queries.

I no longer want to attend my interview

If you do not wish to attend your interview we will not be able to continue with your application to the University of Salford. Please email us on stating your intention to withdraw your application and we will make your application unsuccessful on UCAS. Please quote your full name, date of birth and UCAS ID number to enable us to deal with this efficiently.

When will I be informed of my decision?

We can usually inform you of interim decisions the day following your interview. (Remember it’s important that your contact information is kept up to date).

All decisions, with full details of any conditions will be made available via UCAS track.

Any offer of a place will be conditional upon the University’s receipt of:

  • Satisfactory Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check (If you have any concerns regarding this please discuss these at the interview)    
  • Satisfactory health screening    
  • Satisfactory references (if not provided prior to interview)    
  • Successful completion and proof of required entry qualifications
