ELIGIBILITY AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is eligible to enter?

All colleagues who are salaried and paid through the University’s Payroll Department are eligible to apply.

Who can nominate?

All University of Salford colleagues are able to nominate, either anonymously or with the nominee’s agreement, and colleagues may also self-nominate.

What is the deadline?

The deadline for entry is strictly midnight on Sunday 16th June 2019. On receipt of your submission a confirmation will be emailed to you.  Applications, once submitted, are final, and no amendments can be made.

How do I submit an entry?

All entries must be submitted via the website, and all mandatory fields must be completed.  

Can previous winners apply?

We welcome applications from previous winners; however we do ask that applicant’s re-enter only if substantial change or development to their applications can be clearly demonstrated.  

Can I enter more than one category?

Submissions are not limited to one per applicant or category, but a separate application must be completed for each category, and the applications must be clearly matched against the category-specific criteria.

Who will be making the decision on my application?

Applications will be assessed by a selection panel convened and administrated by the service area, comprising of key staff nominated by the Chair. The composition of each panel will be available in the Guidance Document for each Award.

What will my information be used for?

Please be aware that by submitting an application form you are agreeing for all details contained therein to be used by the University of Salford in publicity materials.

What if my contact details change?

The contact details you provide in your entry form will be used through the duration of the process, however, if your contact details do change after submitting, please notify Rachel Cushion at r.cushion@salford.ac.uk

Please note that it is essential that the colleagues details which are provided on the application forms are correct, particularly for Group Applications, as unfortunately additional names cannot be added to applications once submitted. For group awards a maximum of 5 members of the group will be invited to attend to represent the team and attendees for the dinner must be specified on the application by the nominee.
