Professor Huw Morris

Professor Huw MorrisHuw Morris is Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Dean of the College of Arts and Social Science. In this role he is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of learning and teaching strategy at the University: including the design of course portfolios, the management of learning technologies, support for academic staff development, advice on library provision and oversight of the academic regulations governing taught courses. In addition, he is responsible for the leadership of the College of Arts and Social Science which consists of the schools of Art and Design, BusinessHumanities, Languages and Social Sciences, Law and Music, Media and Performance.

Prior to taking up his present appointment Professor Morris held academic posts at Imperial College, Kingston University, Bristol Business School at the University of the West of England and Manchester Metropolitan University. Moving within and between these institutions he has held positions as a research assistant, lecturer, associate dean, dean and pro-vice chancellor (enterprise).

Research: He is the author of 3 books and many journal articles, book chapters and conference papers (over 30).

He is a QAA Subject Reviewer and member of the subject benchmark panel.

Huw is currently Chair of the Association of Business Schools, a subject association which represents 116 business schools in the United Kingdom and he is also a board member of the United Kingdom Business Incubation.
