You can let us know about your access requirements when you book onto our Open Days. We’ll then work with you to do everything we can to support your visit. Below is some general accessibility information that you may find useful.
We have worked closely with DisabledGo (the leading provider of access information for disabled people in the UK) to produce an assessment of our campus and facilities.
This work has provided detailed information about our access, and you can find their assessment of our campus and facilities here.
In addition to the information on DisabledGo’s website, you can now find your way around our whole campus with our new free app, AccessAble Salford Uni.
Developed by Estates and Property Services in partnership with DisabledGo (the leading provider of access information for disabled people in the UK), this app includes detailed accessibility information about lecture halls, cafes and bars, toilets and halls of residence.
The launch of the app continues our strong commitment to equality and inclusive design – so that our campus can be used by everyone. We have worked with DisabledGo since 2008 to provide trusted accessibility information about our campus.
To download the app and for more information:
We have accessible car parking spaces across campus.
All University building are equipped with a Deaf Alerter radio-based fire alarm warning and public address messaging system.
Salford Crescent train station is on campus, but is not part of the University. Access is by steps or lift.
