The Postgraduate Open Day running from 3pm – 7pm gives you the opportunity to talk to our academic tutors about our wide portfolio of taught and research study opportunities. As well as our academic staff, there will be staff, students and alumni on hand to answer your questions.

If you have booked on our Postgraduate Open Day then you will receive a reminder email near to the event with a link to our Open Day Guide for the day to help you get the most out of your visit.

Registration

You will need to register your attendance on the Open Day. To make this easier for you there are two registration points, one on our main campus and one at MediaCityUK. The registration point you should go to will depend on the subject area and course you are interested in studying, please follow the links below to find out which registration point is for you:

Tours

We'll be running walking tours of our campus which will be guided by our Student Ambassadors, taking in the library, sport and leisure facilities, and places to eat and drink, to give you a real understanding of what it's like to study and live here. Just ask at the Campus tours desk in University House.

If you are at MediaCityUK we will be running walking tours of the MediaCityUK area which will be guided by our Student Ambassadors. Just ask at our MediaCityUK registration desk.

Subject specific tours

We'll be holding subject specific tours to view our specialist facilities. Subject specific tours will be run at varying times depending on what subject area/course you are interested in. There will also be the chance to talk to our tutors and staff about our courses and answer any specific questions you may have.

Make sure you look through the Open Day Guide and plan which tours you want to attend before the day.

Travel information

There are excellent transport links, with Salford Crescent railway station on campus and a regular bus service. The Northern and Irwell Place car parks will be open and free of charge to Open Day visitors. If you are going straight to MediaCityUK, we recommend that you use public transport, trams run from Bury and Manchester city centre or park at Northern car park and then take the free shuttle bus service. Parking is limited at MediaCityUK and a charge will apply.

Due to our close proximity to Manchester centre we anticipate that there will be some traffic congestion on the day so we advise you to add extra time to your journey.

The Open Day Guide will be available on the day and we will inform you of any changes that may affect you.
