Night Before Your Exams
It’s pretty common knowledge that you should never cram revise the night before an exam, but it’s equally as important to finish revising a good few hours before hitting the hay!
The night before your exam, there are several ways to calm your nerves and make you feel prepared for the next day. Taking a hot bath before bed can relax you or playing soothing music can also help to ease any tension. Eating a good hot meal is also a must, and we’re not just talking about brain foods, either. Indulge a little to make you feel happy, just make sure you skip the caffeine (or sleeping may be a bit of a challenge).
In terms of preparation, laying out your clothes ready for the morning will help you to feel under control, and most importantly – don’t forget to set your alarm. Set two, if you’re worried!
It may also be a good idea to have something planned for after the exam as a mini celebration or stress-reliever. This will also help you to think positively, if you have something to look forward to. (If you have exams throughout the week, then plan something special for the weekend!)
Lastly, make sure you go to bed at a reasonable time, and never ever attempt to do an all-nighter. Recap your summaries and notes in the morning, but for the evening - dot the I’s and cross the T’s and go to bed.
