Tuition fees
Our UK and EU undergraduate students pay £ 3,290 a year tuition fees to cover the cost of university education. But did you know?
- You can apply for a Higher Education Maintenance Grant (HEMG) of £2,906, dependent on your household income. If your household income is less than £25,000 you'll be entitled to the whole grant. If it's between £25,000 and £60,032 you'll be entitled to part of the grant
- The Special Support Grant (SSG) is similar to the HEMG but is for students who are eligible to receive (but not necessarily in receipt of) Income Support and other means-tested benefits such as Housing Benefit
- If you take a student loan for tuition fees, you don't have to pay anything up-front — it will all be handled by the Student Loans Company
- If you take out a tuition fees or maintenance loan, you won’t have to pay anything back until you graduate and start earning over £15,000
- Three out of four of our programmes offer an optional study or work placement — and if you choose to do it abroad, we won't charge you a penny in fees for the time you're away
- Seven out of ten full-time undergraduate students receive financial support towards their fees from Salford University. For the full details, visit iSite's student finances section. You might find that University isn't as expensive as you think.
