Accommodation at Salford is managed by our accommodation partners, Campus Living Villages (CLV) and we have two accommodation sites:
Peel Park Quarter Accommodation
Peel Park Quarter (PPQ) is our on-campus accommodation, based on our main campus just a stone’s throw away from lectures and other university facilities. All accommodation at PPQ is ensuite and rooms start from £126 per week for Bronze rooms up to £148.50 per week for Diamond rooms.
John Lester/Eddie Colman Accommodation
These are based around a ten minute walk from our Frederick Road campus and are the closest halls of residence to our MediaCityUK campus. Prices for John Lester/Eddie Colman court start at £87.50 per week for Bronze rooms and go up to £124 per week for Diamond specification.
You can book your accommodation directly with Campus Living Villages via their website. If you have any questions about our University Partner accommodation, please contact CLV on 0161 667 5010 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will need:
- Your Clearing Application ID number – this is a 6 digit unique number on your clearing offer email. If you cannot find this, please use your UCAS ID number as an alternative.
- A refundable deposit of £200 and an initial payment of 2 weeks’ rent (costs depend on which room you have selected). You will then pay for the remaining accommodation balance in three instalments which are timed to coincide with your maintenance loan payments.
At this time of year our partner accommodation is very close to capacity and you may need to look elsewhere for accommodation, or alternatively this might be your preference. Please don’t panic about this, we have a number of students living in accommodation off campus. We recommend that you search for accommodation options using Manchester Student Homes who offer free house hunting advice and work only with fully accredited landlords.
We’re ideally placed for public transport links, with Salford Crescent train station right on campus. There are regular bus routes along the Crescent into Manchester and it’s only a 20 minute walk into the city centre.
There's a Metrolink tram stop right outside our MediaCityUK campus building, and students can use their Salford ID cards to travel for free on the 50 bus between main campus and MediaCityUK.
If you intend to drive and would like to get a car parking pass, students have the option to purchase an annual session from the online shop or to register with PayByPhone for daily or monthly parking. Our Estates website has more information available about parking for students.
Disabled students who are blue badge holders and require the use of a motor vehicle to enable them to travel to and from the University are exempt from any fee. You must display your blue badge clearly on your vehicle.
