Applied? Here’s what to do next

Key dates

To help you keep track of the key dates in the application cycle, we’ve put together this handy list of dates you need to be aware of. You can also find a list of UCAS deadlines on the UCAS website.

  • Now: As soon as you've applied for a course you should start thinking about student finance. You can see what finance is available to you using this online calculator. You can apply for student finance even if you’ve not accepted any of your offers yet. Aim to have applied for student finance by the end of May 2017, to ensure you receive your money at the start of term.
  • 8, 15, 22 and 25 February 2017: We’re hosting applicant visit days on each of these dates. These are the next step on from our open days and offer an invaluable insight into what it’s like to live and study at the University of Salford. The date of your applicant visit day will depend on the course you’ve applied to. If you receive an offer to study with us, we’ll send you an email inviting you to the relevant day. You will only need to attend one applicant visit day.
  • 15 and 22 March 2017: We’re hosting more applicant visit days on these dates. If you receive an offer to study with us, you’ll get an email telling you which day you’ve been invited to. You will only need to attend one applicant visit day.
  • 22 April 2017: This is our final applicant visit day. If you’ve received an offer from us, we’ll send you an email letting you know which applicant visit day you’ve been invited to. You will only need to attend one applicant visit day.
  • 4 May 2017: If you’ve heard back from all of the universities you have applied to by 31 March 2017, you must choose your firm and insurance choices by today.
  • 31 May 2017: If you plan on applying for a student loan, today is the deadline to submit your application in order to guarantee that you’ll receive your money at the start of the September term.
