Applied? Here’s what to do next

I am preparing for results day

As results day approaches, it’s wise to be prepared.

  • Have the phone numbers of your firm and insurance choice universities to hand. We will provide details of our clearing and confirmation hotline closer to your exam results date.
  • Make sure you can get online and access UCAS Track.

On the day itself, you’re likely to find yourself in one of three situations.

  1. You meet the conditions of your firm choice

Congratulations! Once your firm choice university has checked your results against your offer, UCAS will contact you confirming the details of your place. We will then send you more information about registering with the University.

  2. You have not been accepted by your firm choice

However, you might meet the requirements of your insurance choice. You’ll hear through UCAS if you have been accepted by your insurance choice. We will then contact you about registering with the University.

  3. You don’t get the grades you expected
Firstly, check UCAS Track to see whether you have been accepted by any of your choices. The course you're looking for might still have places available through clearing. Stay positive and explore your options.

If you meet the conditions detailed on UCAS Track, you do not need to contact us to confirm your place. Use UCAS Track to view the status of your application.

If you have not met the conditions and there is no decision on UCAS Track, please contact our clearing and confirmation hotline or visit our dedicated site. We will provide details for both the hotline and website closer to your exam results date.

If your grades are different to what you expected, you might still be able to find the course of your dreams at the University of Salford.

Our clearing and confirmation hotline and website will open when your results are released. We will provide details of these closer to your exam results date.

In the lead up to results day and in the weeks that follow, you can keep up to date with everything that’s going on at the University of Salford by following us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube.
