Schedule and Information - 7 February 2018

"Ask a lot of questions..."

"Staff and student ambassadors were very accommodating and went into a lot of detail in explaining the courses. They also allowed you to ask a lot of questions."

Location and Parking

Location

If you are attending any of the optional sessions in the morning, you'll need to visit University House - building number 11 on our campus map - for check-in and refreshments.

If you are coming only for the Welcome talk and afternoon course sessions starting at 1:30pm, please come straight to Chapman Building, building number 10 on the campus map.

How to find us?

The University is just 2km from Manchester city centre on the A6 and is well-served by Salford Crescent train station – located right on campus – and regular bus services both into and out of Manchester.

While we do have on-campus parking, we’d recommend you use public transport where possible as parking does become quite limited during term time. If you do choose to drive, be sure to read the  Parking section below as we’ll be running a free park-and-ride on the day.

More information on how to find the University.

Parking

We have multiple pay-by-app car parks on campus but for our Applicant Visit Day visitors will be running a free park-and-ride shuttle from Centenary car park on Peru Street (use post code M3 6EQ).

These shuttles will be starting at 8:45am and are running every 8-10 minutes throughout the morning, with the last one leaving Centenary car park at 1.30pm. at the end of the day the shuttles will restart at 3:30pm from the main campus and the final bus will leave main campus at 5:30pm.

We’d strongly recommend you use this as parking can become very limited on campus during teaching weeks. However, please ensure you arrive at least 20 minutes before your first session is scheduled to start to allow for transport to University House.
