Scholarships and bursaries

We have introduced a new financial support scheme for undergraduate students joining us from September 2018; see the above section for more details. 

The following external scholarships and bursaries are available for undergraduate students starting programmes in 2018.

Architecture, civil engineering and construction

Construction insurance specialist CRL is offering 10 high-performing students of civil engineering, construction and architecture programmes the chance to win a £1,000 scholarship. For the full information on how to apply, visit CRL

Television Production and Broadcast Journalism

The Royal Television Society is offering 20 bursaries to students studying accredited Television Production and Broadcast Journalism degree courses. A further five technology bursaries, aimed at encouraging some of the most talented students to consider a career in television, are available to students studying Computing and Engineering.

In addition, RTS bursary applicants studying on Broadcast Journalism Courses will automatically be considered for the Steve Hewlett Scholarship, which was set up in 2017 in memory of the celebrated broadcaster.

Bursary recipients will receive £1,000 per year of their studies. For details of the accredited courses eligible for the scheme, bursary guidance notes or to submit your application visit RTS.

Care Leavers’ Bursary  

Care leavers from the UK or EU, and studying an undergraduate degree with us, will be eligible for an annual bursary of £1,000 from September 2018.
