Where will I live?

One of the most important decisions you need to make about your life as a student at Salford is where you are going to live. There are 3 options:

  • Living in University or University Partner accommodation
  • Living off campus and arranging your own accommodation
  • Living at home and commuting to University

Living in University or University Partner accommodation

We have over 2,900 bedrooms available all within walking distance of the main campuses, providing a choice of self catered accommodation for you to choose from:

Constantine Court

Our only en-suite accommodation directly on campus, located close to the library and leisure centre, this accommodation is ideally located for students studying at Allerton or Peel Park campuses

Castle Irwell Student Village

Over 1,000 students live at Castle Irwell Student Village which includes accommodation, BBQ areas and sports pitches on site. It is a really sociable environment and a great place to make lots of friends.

Bramall Court

Bramall Court is ideal for students studying at the Adelphi Campus, with two, three and four bedroom flats. You are able to search for like minded flatmates or choose a room when you make your application. Bramall Court has a large social and games room and Sky TV in student lounges.

Horlock Court

Located centrally on the campus near the Clifford Whitworth library, banks and shops, this accommodation is also surrounded by green open space.

John Lester and Eddie Colman Courts

These flats underwent a huge refurbishment during the summer of 2009 and improvements include a new wifi café area, TV, games and meeting rooms and ground floor gym. The kitchens and bathrooms have also been refurbished in all of the flats.

iQ Student Quarter

The newest accommodation available with 541 ensuite rooms in four, five and six bedroom flats. All flats have a kitchen and lounge and there is also a common room with Sky TV available for all students.

Our accommodation is excellent value with prices starting from £66.01 per week.

Living off campus

The largest student population in Europe lives in Manchester – so you won’t be short of places to rent if you decide not to live in our University accommodation.

Commuting in

If you’re thinking of community from home we’re easily accessible, no matter how far you’re travelling. We’re located just a mile and a half from Manchester city centre on major bus routes with services running every few minutes. Salford Crescent train station is situated right in the heart of the campus and we have car parking facilities available for you.
