We recognise that students with caring responsibilities require additional support throughout their study. We are able to deliver bespoke activities for student carers. For further information about the support available to student carers, please visit these pages.

Greater Manchester Higher

Greater Manchester Higher is a collaboration of five universities and eight further education colleges from across Greater Manchester, who are working together to provide high quality outreach activities for local schools and colleges as part of the HEFCE funded National Networks for Collaborative Outreach project.

GM Higher aims to improve the provision of information, advice and guidance about progression routes to higher education (HE) and improved information about the variety of HE options for learners and their key influencers.

These one day events are designed to give year 8/9 learners an opportunity to reflect on their options for the future, in advance of selecting their GCSE options. Learners will examine the implication of their choices and how these influence their future. These days are hosted at our MediaCityUK campus.

Full details of upcoming events and booking information can be found on the GM Higher website.

These university visits provide learners with the opportunity to visit a university campus and gain an insight into student life and the range of courses available. Throughout the visit, pupils will work closely with current undergraduate students to obtain first-hand information about studying at a higher level. These days are hosted at our Peel Park Campus.

Full details of upcoming events and booking information can be found on the GM Higher website.
