Salford is committed to breaking down traditional barriers to Higher Education and ensuring that our student cohort reflects the diversity in society. Our outreach team offer a variety of on and off campus activities for school and college groups. We also work with teachers, careers advisors and parents to ensure that students are receiving the right information about university study.
We work with future applicants of all ages to raise aspirations and deliver information, advice and guidance about progression within education. We also target groups who come from backgrounds under-represented in HE.
On Wednesday 20 June 2018 we are hosting a visit for d/Deaf Learners. This half day event is aimed at those studying at Level 3. Not only is it an introduction to Higher Education but will also provide information about the support these students can get whilst studying their degree, including information on the Disabled Students Allowance, general financial support available, and also support that different institutions can offer. Learners will have the chance to meet current Higher Education students who can share their experiences as well as Disability Support Advisors.
