Location
Where is Salford?
Minutes from Manchester
We’re only one and a half miles from Manchester city centre – so close you could walk. There are buses every few minutes to the city centre and we’ve got our own rail way station so it is easy to get around.
We’re also the closest university to Manchester United Football Club and Old Trafford cricket ground so you won’t have far to go to catch a good match.
MediaCityUK is just a mile down the road from the main University campus so you’ll be right at heart of the digital and creative hub. We are located at the heart of six national BBC departments and hundreds of independent creative, digital and media organisations.
Great transport links
We are really easy to get to, it only takes a couple of minutes by car to the motorway network and we are less than 30 minutes drive from Manchester International Airport.
MediaCityUK has its own tram terminus and it takes only 15 minutes to get to Manchester Piccadilly or 10 minutes to get to Eccles station.
There are direct trains from our train station, Salford Crescent, to Manchester Victoria, Blackpool, Lancaster, Preston, Blackburn, Wigan, Bolton, Kirkby, Stockport and Chester.
