Science without Borders

The University of Salford is proud to announce its partnership with Science without Borders (SwB), which will offer a world of exciting opportunities to prospective students from Brazil.

We are delighted to host Science without Borders UK as the first large scale student mobility programme operated in the UK. Our University will contribute to this ground breaking initiative, which will see the UK welcome up to 10,000 Brazilian students over the next four years from September 2012.

The University of Salford offers a wide range of courses across many disciplines in our four Colleges: College of Arts & Social Sciences, College of Business & Law, College of Health & Social Care, and College of Science & Technology. The College of Science and Technology offers SWB students a range of courses across the following schools:

The School of the Built Environment represents a community of scholars of global reach and has been leading the research agenda in the built environment for more than 20 years, continuously rated top in the national Research Assessment Exercises. Working closely with professional institutions such as RIBA , CIOB and RICS in the provision of CPD and professional training, the school is committed to develop students’ employability in the current competitive global market.

The School of Computing, Science and Engineering has strong research and academic partnerships with industry such as the BBC, BT, CISCO, Airbus, RSSB, United Utilities and Marshalls; these partnerships enable effective knowledge transfer and up-to-date awareness of topical issues in relevant industries.

The School of Environment and Life Sciences brings together experts in Animal Behaviour, Biomedicine, Conservation, Diseases, Ecology, Environment, Geography, Health, Pharmacy, Wildlife, and Zoology, creating an intellectually dynamic school. This wealth of expertise permits a broad and innovative approach to undergraduate and postgraduate education, where also links to industry are highly valued.
