University of Salford International Scholarships
We offer a range of generous scholarships for high achieving students. We offer these awards because we believe that rewarding hard work and academic achievement is the right thing to do. Over the last two years we have awarded over £1.5 million in scholarships to international students so that they can concentrate on moving their careers forwards and not on their finances.
From September 2012 we are making some changes to our scholarship scheme, but our principle of rewarding excellence remains the same and because of this we are not restricting the number of Vice Chancellor’s scholarships we award. This applies to both PG and UG awards.

Vice Chancellor’s Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship
This award is worth £4000 for the MBA, MSc Petroleum and Gas Engineering and MSc Gas Engineering and Management programmes; and either £3000 or £2000 for all other programmes.
Country discount scheme
This bursary is worth £1000 to students studying full-time postgraduate taught programmes from World Bank classified low/ low-medium income countries. A full list of countries that qualify is available here. These awards are made in addition to any other scholarship we offer. So if you are eligible for the Vice Chancellors Postgraduate scholarship of £3000, and are a national of one of the qualifying countries for this discount, you would receive £4000 in total.
