International Foundation Year (IFY)

This is a one year course for international students who want to study at a British university but have been educated in a different country. You’ll be taught in English and learn the study skills and additional subjects you need to join your chosen degree. Remember there are over 100 degree courses you can join after you have completed this course. Find out more.

European Foundation Year

The European Foundation Year prepares European students who want to study for an undergraduate degree at university in the United Kingdom. This course is for you if you have finished high school in your own country but don’t yet have the qualifications to go straight on to a British course. It is also for you if you already have the qualifications you need but want time to practice your English and Study skills alongside your chosen subjects and get accustomed to life at university in the UK. English Study Programme (ESP)

This is a full-time English language course for international students (who have elementary level English and above). It is for students who intend to progress onto university programmes at Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate level. Find out more.

Summer English Study Programme (SESP)

This is a full-time English language course for international students (who have pre-intermediate level English and above), which runs for 15 weeks over the summer. It is for students who intend to progress onto Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate courses. Find out more.

Super Intensive Summer English Study Programme (SISESP)

This course runs for eight weeks over the summer. It is a full-time, intensive English language course for international students who are only 0.5 IELTS below the required level for entry onto a course at the University of Salford. Find out more.
