Your prospects are bright – Salford named 8th best city for Graduates
If you’ve just made the decision to join us, then you’ve made the right one as Salford has just been named the 8th best city for graduates.
New students may not be thinking about their prospects just yet, but it’s always good to know that you’re in the right place for when you graduate. While, returning students who are now just a short time from graduating will be glad to know that Salford’s employment rate for under-24s is among the highest in the country at 70%!
This high position was one of two accolades awarded to us this week by the Sunday Times – as they have also just confirmed that the University has risen seven places in their Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016.
The good news doesn’t stop here, as these accolades come just weeks after the news that the National Student Survey (NSS) named our University as the second most improved in the whole of the UK.
You guys also contributed directly to another of our awards. This one was received by Paul Tracey in the School of the Built Environment, who was named as the ‘most innovative teacher’ by Times Higher Education, thanks to your votes!
One of the reasons for this success is our recent investment in your experience at Salford. This is demonstrated in our state-of-the-art student residences, which house more than 1300 of you at the heart of our campus.
Our new partnership with SALFOOD has also seen a huge amount of investment in your student experience. I am sure you are currently enjoying all the changes to our catering outlets – especially the lovely new menus and of course, the new Subway.
The final bit of news we’d like to tell you about is that the University has been named the 8th best University for social media in the country and the best in the North! So don’t forget to follow all of our main accounts listed below:
