Welcome to the University of Salford
Welcome to all our new students joining us here at Salford this month, and welcome back to all our returning students
As a new student it’s important that you register with us. Without registering you can’t receive any payments from student finance, and worst of all, you won’t be a full member of the University. You can register online here.
There are plenty of welcome events being held across campus from January 25th-29th. These events are open to anyone and everyone. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a new student or a returning one, get on down, have fun and grab some free food. You can find full details of the events here.
A lot of students at the University of Salford are international and come from across the globe. If you have come from another country to study with us and you want to know more about life at Salford then you can read this article, or you can look at the Welcome Website here. There is loads of advice available about how to register with us, how to find your way around the campus, and how to register with the police as part of your visa.
After you’ve registered with us you’ll be able to access your timetable. Make sure you get to know your way around campus and find out where your lectures are, you don’t want to get lost on your first day. To find your timetable simply click this link and click ‘log on’ in the top right corner. On the timetabling website you’ll find a handy map that you can print off and use to make your way around the University.
We know that you’ll want to have fun whilst you’re here with us at Salford, so you’ll want to be a part of the University of Salford Students’ Union. Make sure that you check out the website, you’ll find details about societies, sporting events, group activities and so much more. The first big event this year is a day trip to Chester Zoo on the 30th of January; find out more info here.
We are looking forward to you seeing you around campus, and we wish you all the best with your studies.
Enjoy a happy #salfordwelcome
